-John Jagos began recording under the name Brothertiger in Toledo, OH during the summer of 2009. John Jagos 는 Brothertiger란 이름으로 2009 여름부터 Ohio Toledo에서 녹음작업을 하였음.
He began recording electronic music in 2006 as Monoteque, an experimental project characterized by tribal beats and pulsing synthesizers. 2006년도 부터 부족에서 쓰는 비트나 쿵쾅거리는 신디사이저를 주로이용한 Monoteque란 실험밴드로 녹음활동을 했음.
Influenced heavily by the electronic sound of Brian Eno and M83, along with the experimental characteristics of Animal Collective, Caribou, and Yeasayer, Jagos recorded many tracks throughout the final half of 2009.Brian Eno나 M83같은 일렉트로닉 사운드에 막대한 영향을 입고(Animal Collective, Caribou, Yeasayer같은 실험적인 성향의 음악도 마찬가지) Jagos는 2009년도후반 동안 많은 트랙들을 녹음했음
After he released the Apache Feathers EP on the Modicum of Silence net-label, he soon began work on the Vision Tunnels EP. the Modicum of Silence net 레이블에서 Apache Feathers EP를 출시한 후 곧Vision Tunnels EP를 녹음하기 시작함.
Drawing heavily upon cassette-esque drum tracks and dream-like synths, Brothertiger combines the ethereal style of 80s new wave with the modern electro-dance sound. 카세트테입 형식의 드럼 트랙과 몽환적인 신스사운드를 도용하여, Brothertiger는 80대 뉴웨이브의 묘한 사운드와 현대 일렉트로 댄스음악을 같이 결합시킴.
Like contemporaries Washed Out and Toro Y Moi, Brothertiger aims to capture the “carefree and woozy feelings of summer ease.” 현 Washed Out 과 Toro Y Moi같이, Brothertiger도 나른하고 몽롱한 여름의 느긋한 느낌을 자아내고자 함.
